Zhang Baozhong

Zhang Baozhong was born in Wuzhi County, Jiaozuo City in 1972, and fond of Tai Chi since his childhood. Zhang Baozhong is an outstanding disciple of Master Wang Xi’an, a senior coach of Chinese martial arts, a national first-level referee, a 7-duan Chinese martial artist, a national-level assessor of martial arts routines, an excellent inheritor of Taijiquan, and entitled the "Top Ten Boxers" by the Government of Wen County. Currently, he is also the head coach of Taijiquan at the National Confucius Institute, the head coach of Taijiquan training for foreign students at Beijing Normal University, and a visiting professor at Henan University of Technology and Jiaozuo University. Since 1992, by virtue of his superb Tai Chi Kung Fu, he has won the Push Hand Champion and Tai Chi Routine Competition for five consecutive times at the China Wen County International Tai Chi Annual Conference; won the Push Hand Champion of the National Wushu Championships for six consecutive times, and many championships in various national, provincial and municipal Wushu competitions. Since 1997, as a delegate of the Henan Province Wushu delegation, he has been invited to deliver lectures abroad, and visited Malaysia, Singapore, France, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and other countries. In December 2021, Zhang Baozhong was named the representative inheritor of the fifth batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage projects in Henan Province by the Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
