Chen Xiaoxing

Chen Xiaoxing was born in 1952 at the village of Chen Jiagou, Wen County, Henan Province. He is the third son of Chen Zhaoxu, the 18th Taiji Master of the Chen Clan, and the grandson of Chen Fake, the 17th Taiji Master. He has been practicing Taiji Boxing with his father since he was a child, and instructed by his brother Chen Xiaowang, a contemporary Taiji Boxing master of the 19th Chen Clan. His art of boxing is becoming increasingly sophisticated. Since 1983, he has been teaching at the Chen Jiagou village Taiji Boxing School and used to coach in Shandong, Hubei, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Liaoning, etc, Since 1985, he has been invited to Japan, Korea, the United States, Russia and other countries to teach Chen style Taiji Boxing. In 1993, he became the Vice President and Chief Instructor of the Wen County Chen style Taiji Boxing Research Association. In 1994, he was awarded the "Star of Taiji" in Wen County; in 1998, he was awarded as the International Taiji Boxing Master; in 2001, he was appointed as the head coach of Taiji Boxing in the education system of Wen County; in 1996, he was awarded the "Outstanding Talent Transfer Contribution Award" by the provincial Wushu association; in 2000, he became the principal of the Chen Jiagou village Taijiquan School; in 2003, he trained more than 1,000 teachers of Taiji Boxing for primary and secondary schools in the city, contributing to the development of Taiji Boxing.
