Chen Bin

Chen Bin, born in December 1979 in Chen Jiagou Village, Wenxian County, Henan Province, is the 20th generation of the Chen style and the 12th direct descendent of Taiji Boxing. He acquired the seventh level of Chinese Wushu and the first level of national boxing. At the age of five, he started to practice with his father, Chen Zhenglei, who was proficient in boxing, weapons and Wushu theory. He is currently the invited vice-chairman of Henan Wushu Association, the chairman of Henan Taiji Boxing Association, the invited researcher of the Sports Economy and Law Research Center of Tsinghua University, the vice-chairman of Hong Kong Chen style Taiji Boxing Association, the dean of Zhenglei Taiji Boxing Academy, and the curator of Chen Jiagou Village Taiji Boxing Hall in China. Since 1996, he has won dozens of gold medals in provincial, national and international Taiji Boxing competitions. In December 2021, Chen Bin was selected as the representative inheritor of the fifth batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage projects in Henan Province by the Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
