Zheng Shumin, graduated from TianJin University of Sport in coaching major, won the superior prize at Henan Wushu Observation and Exchange Conference in 1983. He successively served as routine and free sparring coach at Shaolin Wushu Sports School in Dengfeng County. In 1999, Zheng Shumin founded a Wushu school---Shaolin Wushu Academy. He visited Europe and America for many times to perform and teach as one of the organizers and planners of the “Berlin Vienna Shaolin Cultural Festival”, “Los Angeles Shaolin Cultural Festival”, “London Shaolin Cultural Festival”. He also served as the director general of the Shaolin Temple Wushu Office, director of the Shaolin Temple Kung Fu Excavation and manaement Office, director of the Shaolin Duan Pin System Office, and director of the Shaolin Temple Outreach Office.
