Li Shengfu

Li Shengfu, born in 1951, professor of Henan University (China’s only one top-level professor in the field of Wushu), doctoral supervisor, and director of the Institute of Wushu Culture, a key research institution of Henan University. He used to be the deputy dean of the School of Phisical Education and Sport of Henan University and the executive deputy dean of Wushu College of Henan University. He is the master of the 9th section of Chinese Wushu system, the vice chairman of Henan Wushu Association, the vice chairman of Henan Taijiquan Association, and one of the first batch of Henan Province Wushu artists. He served as the chief referee and the chairman of the arbitration committee in major international and national Wushu competitions, and received the awarded title of Special Contribution on Wushu in the 40 years of reform and opening up in Henan Province. He has won the first national Social Science Fund project Chinese Wushu Development Strategy Research in the field of Wushu and awarded 10 provincial and ministerial projects. He has published 12 monographs and textbooks, and has participated in the compilation of more than 20 textbooks by the Ministry of Education and the State Sports General Administration. Among the 40 academic papers, 7, are published in class-A sports core journals.He has won 5 international first prizes and 13 provincial and ministerial first and second prizes in the field of scientific research.

He is also proficient at Shaolin Boxing, Fanzi Boxing, Long Boxing, Form-and-Will Boxing, Chinese shadow- boxing, Eight-Diagram Boxing, Broadsword,Spear, Sword, Cudgel, etc.
