The Third Series of Chen Style Taiji Boxing “Chen Style 38-form”

Introduction

Chen Xiaowang, male, Han nationality, born in 1945 in Chenjiagou village, Wenxian County, Henan Province, China. Chen has got a college degree and now he is a senior coach of Chinese Wushu. At the age of 7, he practiced Chen style Taijiquan with his father Chen Zhaoxu. In 1980, he worked for Henan Sports Committee engaging in full-time Wushu training and teaching. He has successively served as Chairman of Chen style Taijiquan Association of Henan Province, Chairman of Henan Wushu Association, Senior Coach of Chinese Wushu, deputy of the Seventh National People’s Congress, member of the Seventh Political Consultative Conference of Henan Province, director of Chinese Calligraphy and Literature Association, director of Foreign Cultural Exchange of Henan Province, invited researcher of Henan Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Honorary Professor of Zhang Zhongjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is the honorary president and technical consultant of many international and domestic universities and regional Taiji boxing associations and research associations, and the 19th head of Chen’s Taiji boxing in Chen Jiagou village. In 2009, Chen Xiaowang was named by the Ministry of Culture as the representative inheritor of the third batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects
